GROW YOUR STARTUP IN EUROPE

Madrid’s eID selected for Salesforce Accelerate FinServ program

- August 31, 2018

Madrid-based Electronic IDentification (eID) is the only Spanish startup selected for the Salesforce Accelerate FinServ program, Salesforce’s first European program of its type.

Fourteen international startups in fintech and insurtech were chosen for Salesforce Accelerate’s European launch, but only one startup is coming from Spain.

As the sole Spanish startup, eID will represent Spain among startups from all over the EMEA region.  eID is a software vendor disrupting the digital identification and e-signature industries.

“I’m looking forward to seeing the amazing accomplishments these innovators will achieve during the program and beyond as they join our ecosystem,” said Eileen O’Mara, CMO of Salesforce EMEA, in a statement.

“Having entrepreneurs help our customers keep pace with the incredible speed of innovation is core to how we work with our partners to deliver on our promise of customer success,” she added.

eID was recently named one of the top 100 most innovative RegTech companies in the world and recognized by Gartner as a “Cool Vendor 2017.”

eID CEO Iván Nabalón was named “Top 100 people to know in 2018” by One World Identity. The list includes pioneers who are leading the charge to improve identity and ranges from individual entrepreneurs to members of large organizations, and covers both public sector and non-profit advocates.

Salesforce Accelerate is a four-month virtual program designed to provide the insights and support that companies need to strategically align with Salesforce and accelerate their time-to-market with AppExchange.

Previously known as the Salesforce Incubator, this program has already successfully graduated more than 40 companies. The program will also include three in-person workshops, taking place in London, Dublin and Paris over the coming months.

“We are dedicated to helping our financial services customers delight their customers by letting them focus on the experience rather than the product. And, as the industry continues to be disrupted, that’s never been more important for our customers,” said Joaquin de Valenzuela, Head of Financial Services at Salesforce EMEA.

“The solutions of these 14 companies are examples of the amazing fintech and insurtech solutions being developed across Europe and Israel, reinforcing this region’s position as an innovation hub,” he added.

The innovative companies selected to Salesforce Accelerate FinServ are among those pioneering new uses of technology and disruption in Financial Services, all driven by a focus on customer experience.
