GROW YOUR STARTUP IN EUROPE

Women In Tech takes center stage at Horasis in Adelaide

- November 26, 2023

Today female entrepreneurs only constitute 8% of the active work force in the European Union.

Additionally, the startups funded by women only raised 1.8% of the total investment in Europe, in contrast to the 89% raised by male founding teams

Spain, in part, has been making large efforts to reduce the gender gap in the startup ecosystem. The number of women involved in new entrepreneurial initiatives has increased since 2016 by almost 20%, two points above the male rate.

This week at Horasis India Meeting global leaders met to discuss in further-depth this issue.

In particular, women remain vastly underrepresented in leadership positions – in India they are only 18%, in Australia 33%; what mindset changes are needed in the corporate world and political arena? Is this a male issue?

Can we define the unique qualities and benefits female leaders bring to the table so redefine all recruitment selection processes?
