LifeTech Summit, an event organized by INFO (Development Institute of the Region of Murcia) in collaboration with UCAM HiTech, the Innovation and Business Acceleration Center created by the Catholic University of Murcia, and with funding from NextGenerationEU, will take place on February 23 and 24 in Murcia.
The event, which aims to be a national reference event on high-tech entrepreneurship in food, sports and health, will analyze not only the current situation of these sectors but also the different investment opportunities and prospects for open innovation and growth offered by these three verticals.
Through round tables, one-to-one talks, pitches from investors and successful entrepreneurs, meet&greet between investors, startups, and researchers, and networking sessions, attendees will be able to discover the vision and analysis that the protagonists of the national innovation ecosystem make about the current entrepreneurial landscape and what we can expect in terms of investment before the times of uncertainty.
The key speakers
The first roundtable, moderated by Alex Igrisano, director of Orbyn Alternative Assets, and which will analyze how to undertake R&D in universities, will be led by Maarten Gijssel, managing partner of IDRO; Andrea Martos, founder & editor of Cambridge BioCapital; Estrella Núñez, vice-rector of research at UCAM; Daniel Oliver, founder of Homu Invest and Cristina Romero of Mar Océana Venures.
The second round table, moderated by Javier Fernández-Gallardo, director of investment and strategy at Innoventures Capital, will also feature great profiles within the investment ecosystem such as Javier González, director of Open Innovation at ACCIONA; Diego Amores, CEO of Entomo AgroIndustrial; Rafael Ros, managing director Benelux & Spain at Plug&Play Tech Center; María García, managing director of AMC Innova and Martín Izquierdo, managing director corporate development at Grupo Fuertes & El Pozo will analyze the keys to collaboration between startups and corporations.
The event will also host two presentations by Amaya Valdemoro, former WNBA player, and Samuel Gil, CEO of JME Ventures.
As a closing, on both days of the event and along with the networking sessions, the online TV program Nación Innovación will broadcast special interviews with the main protagonists to analyze the conclusions and keys of each day.
