Soon after Campus Madrid opened, Google brought its pre-acceleration program to the Spanish capital. Starting on July 6 and for whole week, 15 startups gathered in the recently opened building to improve and advance their products and services with the help of a wide variety of mentors.
As was the case with the previous edition of Google Launchpad in Barcelona, Novobrief was there to document the progress of a certain number of startups throughout the program, with the objective of producing a handful of reports or case studies that will hopefully help other entrepreneurs understand how Launchpad works and provide valuable insights into problems that most startups face at an early stage.
The first report of Madrid’s Launchpad batch focuses on Heygo, a real time photo sharing app developed by Nicolas Espinosa, Claudio Omaña and Arià Prat. This report concentrates on startup leadership and in the culture of perfection that is often found in young companies that aim to have a complete product before launching it into the wild.
For more information and to discover the challenges Heygo faced and how their team’s previous working experiences influenced their decisions and expectations, continue reading below.

Disclaimer:
These case studies do not aim to provide a definitive guide for solving a problem, but rather to provide a glimpse into how taking a week to rethink your startup with the help of highly qualified mentors can offer companies a fresh perspective on their struggles and missed opportunities. This was a paid project and Google covered the expenses associated with the production of these reports.
