GetCovered expands its AI platform from insurance compliance to broader property risk management

Property managers are dealing with an increasingly fragmented set of compliance and risk management tasks, from verifying insurance coverage to tracking vendor requirements and managing documentation across large rental portfolios.

GetCovered is building an AI powered platform around that operational complexity, bringing insurance compliance and other property risk workflows into a single system.

The company says its platform is currently used across more than 3 million rental units, where it helps property managers automate processes that traditionally require teams to collect documents, verify requirements and follow up on missing information.

Its approach is expanding beyond insurance. In June, GetCovered acquired Revyse, a vendor compliance and contract management company, adding capabilities around vendor compliance, contract management, spend intelligence and AI powered automation.

AI agents take on property compliance workflows

GetCovered’s platform uses AI agents to automate parts of the compliance process, including document collection, classification, insurance verification and monitoring for potential lapses.

The company says its AI infrastructure currently includes 16 agents covering workflows such as renters insurance, vendor compliance, reviews, pets, deposits and spend management. The system is designed to include human oversight, audit logs and explainable outputs.

The model is intended to shift compliance from a largely reactive process into a more continuous workflow.

Instead of relying on property management teams to identify missing documentation or manually review every policy and contract, the platform can monitor information and flag cases that require additional attention.

The acquisition of Revyse extends that model into vendor relationships.

By combining Revyse’s vendor compliance and contract management capabilities with GetCovered’s insurance compliance platform, the company is positioning its technology as a broader risk management layer for property managers.

That includes workflows involving residents and vendors, two areas that can require separate documentation, requirements and follow up processes.

The company has argued that bringing those functions together can give property managers a more unified view of operational risk.

The strategy also reflects a broader direction in vertical software: rather than adding AI as a feature to an existing product, startups are increasingly using AI agents to automate entire workflows that span multiple systems and stakeholders.

For GetCovered, the focus is on applying that model to property management, where compliance requirements can generate substantial administrative work across large portfolios.

As AI adoption accelerates in InsurTech and property technology, the company’s expansion illustrates how specialized software providers are moving toward platforms that can continuously monitor requirements, automate routine actions and escalate exceptions to human teams.

The opportunity is therefore not limited to automating insurance verification. GetCovered is attempting to build a broader operational infrastructure for managing risk and compliance across the property management ecosystem.
