GROW YOUR STARTUP IN EUROPE

11 Spanish startups in the ‘Digital and Telecommunications’ sector to join IMPACT Accelerator’s Acelera Startups program

- July 8, 2024

With more than 7,000 active technology companies, the startup ecosystem in Spain is one of the most promising in Europe, generating 100,000 jobs with an impact on the economy of €11.54 billion per year.

While VC funding is down 43% from the previous year, acceleration programs are becoming the primary means for emerging startups to achieve growth and consolidation in the market.

That is precisely the mission of Acelera Startups, the free, fully subsidized five-month acceleration program developed by ISDI’s IMPACT Accelerator and managed by the Escuela de Organización Industrial (EOI). The Next Generation fund under the Spanish Government’s Recovery and Resilience Plan funds the program.

With a new group of 11 startups in the ‘Digital and Telecommunications’ sectors from all over the country, Acelera Startups is driving the latest wave of innovative players in the Spanish ecosystem. The program aimed at those sectors is one of four programs offered by Acelera Startups this year, as IMPACT Accelerator has also launched two regional programs (in Madrid and Catalonia) and another program for startups from all over the country focused on innovation in the Mobility sector.

“Spain’s dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem is also evident in the number of innovative startups we see in sectors such as digital business and telecommunications, with incredible initiatives scattered throughout the national territory,” said Jesús Tapia, Director of IMPACT Accelerator. “Thanks to the support of the EOI and the investment of the EU Next Generation funds, these startups will obtain crucial resources for their growth and projection.”
