The Catalan travel tech Flappin’ turns one year old and closes its first round of €400K

Flappin’, the travel tech of travel and surprise experiences closes its first pre-seed round of €400,000. The Catalan startup has completed its first year in the market and has achieved a monthly growth of 60%, as reported.

The startup, led by Pol Clavell (CEO), Marc Teixidor (CMD), Ferrán García (COO), and Sergi Vila (chairman) was founded at the end of 2021 and since then has booked for its clients more than 3,500 nights and surprise experiences. The company has more than 220 destinations, 150 gastronomic partners, and more than 1,000 hotels.

As a key feature, the startup offers surprise trips and experiences all over Europe, which has captured the attention of young people looking for different adventures.

“We are very happy with the reception of Flappin’ in the market. Young people today need more than a product, they need unique and different experiences, and this is our obsession every day. Our goals for 2023, after the first year of rapid growth, will be to continue to grow in the Spanish territory, expand the team and start expanding the brand into new markets,” says Pol Clavell, CEO, and co-founder of Flappin’.

A year ago Flappin’ did its previous round of FFF (Family, Friends, and Fools) financing with only four people in the team and managed to finance the development of the minimum viable product and its launch to the market. Today they are a team of 10 people and plan to continue growing in the Spanish territory and throughout Europe next year.

The services offered by Flappin’ are: travel in Spain, Italy, and Europe and multi-destination options. Also, getaways and surprise experiences in the Spanish territory at affordable prices and for all tastes.
