Lima, Peru-based online training platform for creative professionals, Crehana, arrives in Spain following the launch of Crehana Careers in May.
Crehana is an educational community formed by more than 220 professionals and 600,000 students who learn creative skills from professionals through online courses that include, design, animation, web design, programming, photography, and digital marketing, among others.
The Peruvian startup was launched in April 2015 by CEO and Founder Diego Olcese, who convinced of the need to overcome barriers to access to education, created a platform where people can not only learn new skills, but also where professional experts in the market can share what they do best.
“Crehana was born with the purpose of providing professional and personal transformation opportunities through education,” said Olcese in a statement.
“Our goal is to promote the growth of our students with access to quality education to prepare them for the new challenges of the labor market,” he added.
Crehana offers courses of three-to-eight hours, so that the student finds it easier to learn. Among the services offered by the platform is the Premium service, which includes the possibility of having a personalized and specialized mentor that accompanies the student throughout the course, explaining each process step-by-step and resolving their academic queries that they may have about using the platform. Once the necessary projects have been delivered and approved, a certification in the name of Crehana is obtained.
In May, Peru Reports reported the launch of Crehana Careers. The new bundle of online courses is designed to educate the next generation of digital professionals on in-demand creative skills, such as graphic design, digital illustration, 3D modeling and motion graphics.
Crehana Careers is aimed at digital professionals who want to enhance their skills or increase employment opportunities. Using a new methodology, the courses give professionals control over when and where they want to learn. It is designed not only to simplify the learning process but also to help students accomplish their goals in a shorter amount of time.
Each career has five modules with two to three courses of three hours in length. By investing just eight hours/week for four months, students can finish a career, and leave fully equipped with the skills to succeed in the real world.
“This year our goal is to really focus on student success. The launch of Creative Degrees will provide students with the latest skills and knowledge needed to prepare them for the fast-paced and challenging world of digital creatives,” said Olcese in May.
Since 2015, the Peruvian company has raised $2 million in funding and revolutionized creative education for Latin Americans by providing them with a project-based learning platform to dive head-first into the digital world. The platform’s short, practical courses are designed specifically for aspiring creative and digital professionals to learn the necessary skills to succeed with modern technology.
