Novobrief, one of the leading English-language startup news outlets in Spain, today is announcing it has added Claudia Santos González to its Advisory Board. The move aligns with the Spain-based media outlet’s aim to achieve a wider coverage of topics affecting the Iberian Peninsula’s startup ecosystem.
Claudia brings to Novobrief almost a decade of experience working in marketing. In her career, Claudia has worked previously with globally recognized brands such as Diageo, L’Oreal, T-Mobile, and General Mills, as well as two of the largest Spanish-language media outlets in the world – NBC Telemundo and Univision. She is a Vice President at Publicize.
“We are pleased to bring Claudia onto our advisory board as we ramp-up plans to widen our audience and engage with the most exciting voices in Spain’s startup ecosystem today,” said Stefano de Marzo, Editor of Novobrief. “Claudia’s wealth of experience will truly be an asset to Novobrief as we strive to further our news publication for Spain’s investor and entrepreneur ecosystem.”
“I’m excited to join Novobrief’s Advisory Board and look forward to assisting this amazing publication to grow its unique brand voice, expand its reach, and become recognized as a leading publication focused on the game-changing founders and investors driving Spain’s startup ecosystem,” Claudia said.
Jim Glade, Managing Editor of Espacio, the parent company of Novobrief, said, “Claudia’s deep knowledge of the media and her passion and commitment to the startup community make her an excellent asset to have on Novobrief’s Advisory Board. We look forward to furthering the publication’s impact with her help.”
Since 2015, the Spanish startup ecosystem has grown 5x in value and is now worth a combined €46B. With the recent passing of legislation favoring startups in Spain’s parliament, any individuals from the EU or third countries can gain access to a special visa for up to five years as long as they haven’t been resident in Spain in the five previous years – opening the door to a wave of new investment opportunities.
